A few words about me

Studying Literary & Culture Analysis - emphasizing philosophical, political, and social thinking on culture - gave me invaluable skills in research, self-expression, and critical thinking.

I was prepared to engage with literature, film, arts, and creative writing, from anthropology to literature, media studies to art history. Essentially, my studies taught me to adapt to diverse topics and scenarios, which is crucial for what I do today. (More details on my educational background on LinkedIn.)

After the first year of my Master, I earned a Degree in Cultural Events coordination, which qualified me to work as a cultural mediator. It led me to briefly work for a London-based NGO as an event coordinator, where I was responsible for organizing a cycle ride to Myanmar for research and fundraising purposes.

What I loved the most was the dynamism, versatility, and multitasking inherent to event management. I was taking care of a wide range of tasks, from research to budget planning and dealing with participants, while being responsible for the communication strategy, among other duties.

A year later, while living in Asia, I decided to return to an old passion of mine, writing. After publishing a travel guide about Balinese culture, I dedicated myself solely to freelance writing.

Traveling exposed me to a vast diversity of people, contexts, and lifestyles, allowing me to witness the very real issues related to waste, plastic pollution, and social injustice, among other things.

My profound devotion to nature, sustainability, wellness, and community, led me to volunteer for Trash Hero, Zero Waste Europe, Bali Spirit Festival, retreats, and permaculture centers across the world.

Yet, writing has always felt the most natural way for me to spread information, raise awareness, and support small businesses with shared values and purpose.

Today, I strive to combine writing and project management while collaborating with individuals who wish to make a difference in the world.

So, what am I up to lately?

After years of traveling, I now spend most of my time in the mountains of Portugal, living on a large piece of land I call home. I enjoy learning daily about homesteading and self-sufficiency, including homemaking, food preservation, or permaculture-inspired gardening. At the moment, I am studying herbalism and astrology as I am passionate about holistic wellness and healing.

Recently, I joined a climate change book club, where we all strive to expand our knowledge about environmentalism and imagine a better future while cultivating a solution-oriented mindset in the context of growing eco-anxiety.

While I was often taught that we all should become specialists in one thing, I thankfully learned to embrace my insatiable curiosity and myriad interests, which made me strongly adaptable!
